Dear Scandanavian forum members:
Would the kind forum members from Denmark, Sweden and Norway, please be kind enough to look over the rough plan below including sketch map for a possible EuroTrip idea for next year?
I know that local knowledge is priceless, so could you please suggest some ideas of events and locations we could visit, tracks we could go to, activities we could be involved in (rally, off-roading, track days etc, even other non motorsport related things) and times of the year to get the best out of visiting the country considering we're petrol heads?
A Scandic Scramble: Long ferry from a variety of UK ports (e.g. Harwich to Esbjerg) to a massive meet location at a port in Denmark. Then an overall distance of some 1700 miles i.e. about half ET09 going across to Sweden then up and across into Norway, back down to Denmark and then Germany, Holland, Belgium and France to come home.
The idea would be to get lots of Brits and other nationalities up and over to meet up with the Scandanavians and go do some great roads, sights and any circuits and motor sport opportunities we can get to such as quad-biking, rally drive days (with cars provided) etc., but also including some tourist sites like big swimming pools, hot springs etc etc.
This idea is designed to be more of a social drive where we aren't nearly as pushed, driving all of the time like ET09. Scandanavia also includes 3 countries a lot of people don't normally visit (I've been to Finland - too far north and too wierd), and certainly don't go for motoring holidays I would guess.

It would require recommendations, perhaps some of which couldn't be done as there may be too many, or dates may clash or be too far apart to fit in 10 days max.
It would require the forum members (just like Frank from NL did this year) to coordinate groups from Denmark, Sweden and Norway to meet up with us in one or more locations, and perhaps recommend and facilitate bookings for accommodation (including camping) and events such as investigate and negotiate track and/or go-karting deals.
Finally it requires local advice such as licence, break down and insurance requirements. What the rules are for driving i.e. speed limits, equipment to be carried in the car and border and toll requirements.
I'm asking a lot, but if we do choose to come up to Scandanavia then we need your priceless local knowledge and help, even if it's to say 'this place is crap; don't bother!'.
